The Cactus Cup Girls Flag Football League is officially open for registration and the season is only a couple of months away.
With that, it's time to reveal the team names, slogans and colors that the Cactus Cup players will wear and represent every time they hit the gridiron. There are eight teams in the Cactus Cup, each with a unique name, color scheme and sayings, representing what each team will bring.
Here are the official team names for the Cactus Cup.
Phoenix Wildfire
Colors: Red, Orange and Gold.
Slogan: “Blaze the Trail!”
Mindset: A fiery, high-energy team that brings the heat and intensity to every play.
Desert Vipers
Colors: Black, Green and Silver.
Slogan: “Strike First, Strike Fast!”
Mindset: A fast, strategic team known for their quick strikes and clever plays.
Sonoran Storm
Colors: Purple, Silver and White.
Slogan: "Unleash the Thunder!"
Mindset: Fierce and unstoppable, this team dominates the field with power and electrifying energy.
Cactus Queens
Colors: Pink, Green and Gold.
Slogan: “Crown the Desert!”
Mindset: Confident, fierce, and stylish. They play with swagger and own the game.
Gold Rush
Colors: Gold, Black and White.
Slogan: “Chase Greatness!”
Mindset: A relentless team inspired by speed, determination, and the pursuit of victory.
Scorpion Squad
Colors: Black, Yellow, and Gray.
Slogan: “Feel the Sting!”
Mindset: Tough and gritty, this team never backs down and thrives under pressure.
Steel Hawks
Colors: Navy Blue, Silver and White.
Slogan: “Soar Strong, Strike Hard!”
Mindset: A fearless and disciplined team that flies above the competition with sharp instincts.
Coyote Rebels
Colors: Maroon, Black and Silver.
Slogan: “Howl Loud, Play Proud!”
Mindset: Independent and wild, they’re the scrappy underdogs who rise up to any challenge.

Key Details
● Early Bird Registration Fee: $275.50 (Regular price: $350)
● Eligibility: Open to middle and high school athletes, including Class of 2025 seniors
● Season Length: 12 weeks (10 weeks of regular season + 2 weeks of playoffs)
● Games & Practices:
○ 1–2 practices per week (schedule depends on your coach after the draft)
○ 1 game per week

● Live Draft Event: Athletes experience the excitement of a professional-style draft.
● High-Level Gameplay: 7-on-7 format with NAIA rules.
● Scouting & Recognition: Weekly scouting reports and player highlights to encourage growth.

Practices
● Practices will begin after the draft, which takes place the last week of February.
● Practice schedules will depend on your coach after the draft. This will be open to discussion between you and your coach.
● All games and practices will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona.
