Arizona provided another example of why it may be one of the top states for high school athletes Thursday morning.
USA Football announced the official rosters for the 2025 U.S. 15U and 17U Boys and Girls National Flag Teams, featuring seven Arizona athletes.
According to USA Football’s website, selected athletes will attend a training camp at the Minnesota Vikings' training facility from April 3-to-6. During this time, the 17U U.S. Boys’ National Team will hold joint practices and international friendlies against Israel’s 17U Boys’ National Team.
The rosters will then be reduced to 12 athletes. These players will travel to USA Football’s Junior International Cup in June and prepare to play in the Cup’s largest pool of countries yet, which features teams from Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama and South Korea.
Below is a breakdown of the seven Arizona athletes selected for the National Teams.
17U BOYS
2027 ATH Ryder Noche
Unsurprisingly, Brophy College Prep sophomore athlete Ryder Noche was selected to join this squad for the second straight year.
Noche, the 2024 NFL Flag 14U Player of the Year, holds Division I offers from Arizona and Arizona State. As a sophomore, Noche played in all 13 of the Bronco’s games last season, playing on offense, defense, and special teams.
2028 ATH Kendren Bourguet
A newcomer to the 17U team holds a last name that many locals here in the Valley are likely familiar with: Bourguet. Kendren Bourguet, the younger brother of former ASU quarterback and current assistant running backs coach Trenton Bourguet and ASU wide receiver Coben Bourguet, is a freshman at Salpointe Catholic.
Kendren plays for Tucson Turf Elite, one of the country's best 7-on-7 teams, founded by his dad, Toby Bourguet.
2027 WR Enzo Nguyen
Another newcomer to this year’s 17U team is Highland High School sophomore wide receiver Enzo Nguyen. Nguyen plays for Legends of Arizona (LOAZ), a flag football and 7-on-7 program owned by Rene Elizondo, the newest girl’s flag football head coach at Mesa Mountain View.
15U BOYS
2029 ATH Cameron Cohen
Though Cameron Cohen is still in eighth grade, he is already elevating his game to the next level. Cohen also plays for TTE and is still deciding where to play high school football next season.
2029 ATH Silvio Stalteri
Stalteri is also an eighth grader and plays for the O’Connor Junior Eagles.
2029 ATH Kaizen Nguyen
Kaizen Nguyen, Enzo’s younger brother, also plays for LOAZ and also plans on going to Highland next year.
2030 ATH Alexander Baab
Alexander Baab is only in seventh grade, so it will be a while before he’s playing on Friday nights. His name will be one that people should watch out for in the coming years.
15U GIRLS
2029 Rush/WR Isla Collins
Isla Collins was the only girl selected from Arizona to play on either of the girl's teams. Collins will be attending Salpointe Catholic next season. She also plays for TTE.
